At Save Ukraine Rescue Network’s “Trauma Oriented Mental Health Center,” now renamed the Center for Hope and Healing, in honor of CMBM’s work and my book, Transforming Trauma: The Path to Hope and Healing. 150 people, mostly women and children, are living in this Center, taking care of themselves and one another, participating in educational programs, and receiving counseling. This residential Center is one of several that Save Ukraine is establishing, along with nonresidential social service programs.
Children evacuated from combat zones by Save Ukraine are flourishing in their new environment.
People who’ve suffered grievous losses in combat zones begin a workshop solemn and depleted; after soft-belly breathing and shaking and dancing, ease and energy begin to return.
Hanging out after the workshop: Mykola Kuleba is the adult kneeling among the kids.
